Postgres Backup

Managed PostgreSQL backups for $1 per database

Paste a database URL once and OneBuck.dev takes a daily logical backup, stores it durably, and lets you download any of the last seven snapshots. The promise is simple: you can get your data back.

$1 / database / month

One slot covers one PostgreSQL database, a daily backup and the last 7 snapshots.

What it does

  • Daily logical backup — a scheduled pg_dump in custom format with --no-owner --no-privileges.
  • Durable storage — each snapshot is stored in object storage.
  • Retention — keeps the last 7 snapshots per database and prunes older ones.
  • Credential protection — database credentials are encrypted at rest with application-level AES-GCM.
  • Download — any snapshot can be downloaded from the dashboard as a .dump file.

  3. Download a snapshot from the dashboard.
  4. Restore it with pg_restore.
pg_restore --clean --no-owner --no-privileges -d "$DATABASE_URL" backup.dump

Common use cases

  • Protect a small production database.
  • Take a pre-migration snapshot before a risky change.
  • Seed a staging database from a real snapshot.
  • Keep an off-site downloadable copy of your data.
